Elevate your farm through livestock leasing.

OM.Farm leases livestock to livestock farmers, enabling them to start or expand their operations without the high upfront cost of purchasing animals. We serve as the livestock owner (lessor), and our farmer partners act as operators—raising, managing, and benefiting from the livestock under fair, transparent share lease agreements.

Our Vision

“To empower anyone, from anywhere, to own and thrive with livestock from anywhere—breaking down barriers to sustainable livestock farming, one lease at a time.”

What Does It Mean?

Anyone in Seattle, Washington, can partner with operators in Texas or any country and have a vested interest in the outcomes of the livestock. For operators, this means having a partner in raising, maintaining, and growing their farm—so they have support when the unexpected happens.

How We'll Achieve Our Vision

To realize this vision, we'll execute in two phases.

Yellow background with a handshake icon at the top. Text reads: 'PHASE 1: OM.Farm will enter into livestock leasing agreements with livestock farmers (operators) as the owner of livestock, working directly with our operators while developing the underlying technology to make it feasible for the next phase. We'll also build the processes for operators to join the platform.'
A green informational graphic with a circular checkmark icon at the top. The text reads: "PHASE 2: OM.Farm will open the platform to anyone, allowing them to own livestock from anywhere by partnering with operators from anywhere—simply by sending offers (leasing agreements) to our approved operators."

We believe the future of livestock farming is sustainable, data-driven, and equitable. Operators must lead with innovation, responsibility, and environmental awareness—including reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving animal welfare.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • OM.Farm is a digital platform that provides livestock leasing to livestock farmers. Our platform includes a livestock management system, a livestock analytics system, and a livestock leasing system, all designed to help our operators access capital and modern technology, and improve their livestock farming practices.

  • Operators are farmers who manage livestock on a small to medium scale, often relying on it as their primary income source. These operators have honed their skills over generations, adhering to time-tested practices and customs. While they possess profound knowledge and expertise in animal husbandry, they might not always have the necessary capital to expand or even maintain their operations.

This is where OM.Farm steps in. The platform facilitates share leasing agreements with these operators. OM.Farm offers the crucial upfront capital needed to procure more livestock. Meanwhile, the operators, leveraging their expertise, provide the care and resources essential for rearing these animals. Once the livestock is sold, the profit is equitably divided between the operators and OM.Farm, based on the pre-agreed terms.

  • A livestock leasing arrangement is a partnership between an owner, who owns the livestock, and an operator, who manages the day-to-day care and operations of the farm.

The owner typically receives a share of the progeny and may also be involved in the management of the livestock. However, the owner also assumes some production and price risks and may not have as much control over the relationship with the operator as they would in a traditional farm ownership arrangement.

For the operator, the advantage is that they do not need to come up with the capital to purchase the livestock upfront. Both the owner and operator share in the production costs and price risks. This arrangement can be especially beneficial for new farmers who are just starting out in the business and may need some guidance and mentorship as they get their footing.

  • Operating a livestock farm, like any agricultural business, involves a range of risks that can impact the success and profitability of the operation. Some of these risks are known and can be prepared for, while others are unknown and more difficult to anticipate. Some examples of known risks in livestock farming include:

    1. The risk of diseases or other natural causes that can lead to the death of animals.

    2. The impact of environmental factors such as droughts, floods, or extreme temperatures on the farm's water supply and other resources.

    3. The potential for political instability or other issues in the countries where you source animals or sell products.

Effective risk management is crucial for any farm operation, and it is important to do your due diligence to identify and mitigate potential risks.

  • Using our platform is entirely FREE, eliminating any initiation or subscription charges for operators wishing to initiate or oversee their operations. Our profit-sharing approach with farmers is contingent on the leasing program: for growers, it is 20% and for breeders, it is 25% of our initial investment.

  • OM.Farm stands for "open marketplace for farmers," which represents our values of transparency, social enterprise, and direct exchange in the livestock farming industry. We believe in making the entire leasing process available to everyone.
