He serves as the president of Bukluran ng Manggagawang Pilipino (BMP) and is a board of trustees member of the Freedom from Debt Coalition. He was also the former national president of the Solidarity of Unions in the Philippines for Empowerment and Reforms Federation. With almost two decades of experience as a practicing labor lawyer and organizer, he has dedicated his career to advocating for workers' rights, fair wages, and better working conditions. Espiritu previously ran for the Senate in 2022 and is making another bid in the 2025 elections.
