Key Platforms

National Security and Defense Mobilization

Advocates for strengthening the Philippines' defense capabilities through a national mobilization strategy that would create a reserve force of 10-20 million Filipinos. According to Gonzales, 'If we call for national mobilization and begin to authorize the increase of our reserve force let say 10 to 20 million, that cannot be compared to China's soldiers, but that will be sufficient to show that we Filipinos may be lacking in modern systems, but we have the determination to offer our lives if necessary to defend every inch of our soil.'

Democratic Socialist Economic Reforms

Promotes a 'social democratic formula' for the economy that considers labor as an asset rather than an expense. Believes that increasing the cost of labor will strengthen people's purchasing power, which will in turn strengthen economic activities and consumption of goods and services. As he explained, 'We should consider labor as an asset, otherwise we won't include it in our earnings. If you are considered an expense, you are an expense.'

Educational Excellence and Standardization

Advocates for a standardized quality education system regardless of socioeconomic status. Proposes scholarships for teachers to enhance the quality of education. In his words, 'The training we give is different, the education we give to the children of the poor and the children of the rich. We must change that. We need a standard education. Let's offer scholarships to our teachers.'

Parliamentary System of Government

Calls for a shift to either a pure parliamentary or a presidential-parliamentary hybrid system of government through constitutional amendments. Believes this would allow better representation for marginalized sectors, including the LGBTQIA+ community, as 'the multi-party system under a parliamentary system allows the participation of even small parties to articulate important policy positions.'

Peace and Security

Leverages his extensive experience as a peace negotiator to advocate for diplomatic solutions to internal conflicts while maintaining a firm stance on issues of national sovereignty and territorial integrity. His approach combines dialogue with preparation for defense when necessary.

Lgbtq RightsRecognizes the need for better representation of the LGBTQIA+ community in politics and policymaking.
